Returns and Refund Policy
Last Updated: [20 July 2026]
At Native Nursery, we pour our hearts into growing and caring for our plants. Because plants are living, perishable entities, our return and refund policies differ from standard retail goods. Our goal is to ensure you receive a healthy, vibrant plant, while also establishing clear guidelines on what happens once the plant leaves our care.
1. Live Plants: No Physical Returns
Due to the perishable nature of live plants and the stress that shipping causes, we do not accept physical returns of live plants.
Shipping a plant back to our nursery is highly likely to kill it, and bringing outside plants into our greenhouses introduces the risk of pests and diseases. Please do not mail any live plants back to us.
2. Our "Arrive Alive" Guarantee (Refunds & Replacements)
We guarantee that your plant will arrive in healthy, viable condition. If your plant arrives dead, diseased, or severely damaged, we will issue a replacement or a refund, provided you meet the following conditions:
The 48-Hour Window: You must contact us within [48 hours] of the carrier's delivery timestamp. We cannot be held responsible for the decline of a plant once it has been in your environment for several days.
Photographic Evidence: You must provide clear photographs or Videography of the plant in its original packaging, highlighting the severe damage or issue.
How to File a Claim:
Email us at [satyadeeparya21@gmail.com] with your order number and photos of the plant. We will evaluate the claim and, if approved, issue a replacement plant (inventory permitting) or store credit/refund.
3. What Does NOT Qualify for a Refund
Shipping is tough on living things. The following conditions are considered normal transit stress or customer responsibility and do not qualify for a refund or replacement:
Minor Cosmetic Damage: A few yellowing or dropped leaves, minor snapped stems, slight wilting, or loose soil in the box are normal. With proper watering and light, your plant will bounce back quickly.
Repotting Shock: Do not repot your plant immediately. Plants need time to acclimate to your home's environment. If you repot, heavily prune, or alter the plant within the first 14 days of receiving it, you void any eligibility for a refund.
Customer Neglect: We are not responsible for plant death or decline caused by improper watering, incorrect light levels, extreme temperatures, or lack of care once the plant is delivered.
Weather Damage After Delivery: If a package is left outside in freezing temperatures or extreme heat after it has been marked as delivered, we cannot issue a refund.
4. Seeds, Bulbs, and Hard Goods
For non-perishable items such as seeds, bulbs, unused pots, or gardening tools, we offer a different return policy:
Eligibility: You may return non-live items within 7 days of delivery.
Condition: Items must be returned unused, unopened, and in their original packaging. (e.g., Seed packets must not be torn open).
Return Shipping: The customer is responsible for paying return shipping costs for these items.
5. Refund Processing
Original Payment Method: Approved refunds will be credited back to your original method of payment within 5 to 7 business days.
Shipping Costs: Please note that original shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of the original shipping will be deducted from your refund amount.
Store Credit: In some instances, we may offer a refund in the form of Native Nursery store credit, which will be issued to you via email.
6. Cancellations
If you need to cancel your order, please contact us within 24 hours of placing it. Once an order has been packed and a shipping label has been created, the order cannot be canceled.
