Last Updated: [20 July 2026]
Thank you for shopping at Native Nursery! We take great pride in growing and packaging our live plants, bulbs, and seeds so they arrive at your door happy and healthy. Because we are shipping living things, please read our shipping policy carefully to understand our processes and your responsibilities upon delivery.
1. Order Processing Time
Standard Processing: All orders are processed within [3 to 5] business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email.
Safe Shipping Days: To prevent live plants from sitting in dark carrier warehouses over the weekend, we typically only ship plant orders on Monday through Wednesday. Orders placed on Wednesday afternoon or later will likely ship the following Monday. (Seeds, bulbs, and hard goods may ship Monday through Friday).
Notification: You will receive a notification email with a tracking number once your order has shipped.
2. Shipping Rates and Delivery Estimates
Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. Delivery times vary based on your location and the carrier, but typically range from [Insert Number, e.g., 2 to 7] business days once the package leaves our nursery.
Please note: Delivery delays can occasionally occur with carriers, which are outside of our control.
3. Shipping Restrictions & Agricultural Laws
Due to strict agricultural regulations regarding the transfer of soil and live plants, there are certain restrictions on where we can ship:
Restricted Locations: At this time, we cannot ship live plants to [International addresses, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep Islands].
Seeds & Bulbs: Seeds and bulbs may have fewer restrictions, but it is the buyer’s responsibility to know their local agricultural import laws.
4. Extreme Weather Holds
Plants are sensitive to extreme temperatures. If the weather in your area (or along the shipping route) is experiencing extreme heatwaves or freezing temperatures, we reserve the right to delay shipping your order until conditions are safe for the plants. We will notify you via email if your order is placed on a weather hold.
5. What to Expect: Normal Transit Stress
Shipping can be stressful for live plants. It is completely normal for a plant to experience minor cosmetic damage during transit. The following do not qualify as severe damage and are not eligible for a refund:
A few yellowing or dropped leaves.
Minor snapped twigs or bent foliage.
Slight wilting or drooping.
A small amount of loose soil in the box.
Give your new plant a drink of water, place it in appropriate light, and give it a few days to recover from its journey!
6. Damaged or Dead on Arrival (DOA)
While we pack our plants with extreme care, rough handling by carriers can occasionally result in severe damage. If your plant arrives severely damaged or dead, you must contact us within [Insert strict timeframe, e.g., 24 or 48] hours of the delivery timestamp.
To file a claim, please email us at [Insert Email Address] with:
Your order number.
Clear, well-lit photos of the damaged plant(s).
Photos of the packaging and box if it was crushed or damaged by the carrier.
Claims made after the [48]-hour window will not be accepted, as we cannot be held responsible for the care the plant receives once it is in your home.
7. Lost, Stolen, or Incorrect Addresses
Incorrect Address: Native Nursery is not responsible for packages delivered to an incorrect address provided by the customer at checkout. Please double-check your shipping information before completing your order.
Stolen Packages: Once the carrier marks the package as "Delivered," Native Nursery is not liable for stolen or missing packages. Live plants should not be left outside in extreme weather.
