Ixora Plant | West Indian Jasmine (Red)
Add a bright splash of color to your garden with a Red Ixora (also known as Jungle Geranium or Rukmini)! Famous for its large, round clusters of tiny, star-shaped bright red flowers and glossy green leaves, this beautiful shrub blooms almost all year round. It is perfect for sunny pots, garden borders, or growing as a small, colorful hedge.
How to Grow & Care
Sunlight: This plant loves warmth! It grows and blooms best in full, direct sunlight (at least 4 to 6 hours a day). It can survive in partial shade, but it will produce fewer flowers.
Soil & Planting: Plant it in rich, well-draining soil. It prefers slightly acidic soil and absolutely hates sitting in soggy mud. If using a pot, make sure it has large drainage holes.
Watering: Water it regularly to keep the soil lightly moist. Give it a good drink when the top inch of the soil feels dry to the touch, but never let it sit in a puddle of water.
Feeding (Fertilizer): Feed it with a balanced liquid plant food or organic compost once a month during the warm growing seasons to encourage lots of beautiful red flowers.
Pruning: Trim the plant lightly after a blooming cycle. This removes the old, faded flowers and encourages the plant to grow bushier and produce even more blooms!
What You Receive: 1 healthy, ready-to-plant Red Ixora sapling.
