Parijaat | Harsingar (Night-Flowering Jasmine)
All About the Parijaat (Harsingar)
Add a heavenly fragrance to your home with a Parijaat (also known as Night-Flowering Jasmine)! Famous for its highly scented, star-like white flowers with bright orange stems, this sacred plant blooms at night and gently drops its flowers by morning. It is a beautiful, easy-to-grow shrub perfect for gardens or large pots.
How to Grow & Care
Sunlight: Your Parijaat needs partial to full sunlight (about 4 to 6 hours of direct sun a day) to grow well and produce its sweet-smelling flowers.
Soil & Planting: Plant it in rich, well-draining soil. It likes moist earth but hates sitting in soggy mud, so ensure your pot has large drainage holes at the bottom.
Watering: Water it regularly to keep the soil slightly moist. Give it a good drink whenever the top inch of the soil feels dry to the touch.
Feeding (Fertilizer): Feed it with organic compost or a balanced plant food once a month during the spring and summer to help it bloom beautifully.
Pruning: Lightly trim the branches after the main blooming season (usually in winter) to keep the plant neat and encourage fresh, bushy growth for the next year.
What You Receive: 1 healthy, ready-to-plant Parijaat (Harsingar) sapling.
