Sadabahar | Nayantara | Madagascar Periwinkle (Pink Colour)
All About the Pink Sadabahar (Nayantara)
Add non-stop, cheerful color to your garden with a Pink Sadabahar (also known as Nayantara or Periwinkle)! True to its name (which means "always blooming"), this incredibly tough and easy-to-grow plant produces bright pink flowers almost all year round. It is perfect for sunny balconies, pots, or garden beds and is extremely loved for being very low-maintenance.
How to Grow & Care
Sunlight: This plant loves the heat! Place it in a spot that gets full, direct sunlight (at least 4 to 6 hours a day) for the brightest and most non-stop flowers.
Soil & Planting: Plant it in loose, well-draining soil. It is a very strong plant that can survive in almost any soil, but it absolutely hates sitting in soggy mud.
Watering: It is highly drought-tolerant! Water it well, but always let the top inch of the soil dry out completely before watering it again. Overwatering is its only real enemy.
Feeding (Fertilizer): It requires very little food. You can feed it with a light, balanced fertilizer or a handful of organic compost once a month to keep it blooming happily.
Pruning (Keep it Bushy): Simply pinch off the tips of tall, stretching branches or remove old, faded flowers. This keeps the plant looking neat, bushy, and full of fresh pink blooms!
